Saying he has received Stern's letters form August, October, and December, thanking him for the songs, complimenting him on his progress, saying that the dedication would please him very much, adding that an article on the Berlin song situation ("Berliner Liedzustände") would be welcome, mentioning his Liederkreis of Heine [op. 24], Myrthen [op. 25], published by Kistner, a volume of Geibel [songs, op. 30], published by Bote & Bock, etc.
